About
Hi There!
I’m Audrey, and I’m a bilingual therapist (English and Mandarin) offering both in person and virtual sessions across New York State. I hold a Master’s degree from New York University in Counseling Psychology and bring experience supporting individuals from BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and immigrant communities.
I show up with care, curiosity, and a sense of realness, and I have a deep belief in your resilience and strength. My goal is to build a space for you to feel safe, empowered, and challenged to grow.
My areas of focus are anxiety and stress, relationship conflicts, trauma, people pleasing, and challenges with prioritizing yourself. I believe that our environments and experiences shape our relationships, identities, and inner narratives, and we have the power and choice to break free from obstacles towards healing and emotional resilience.
I help you tune into yourself to find clarity and direction by gently guiding the process with insight, reflection, and providing tools when it feels right. Sessions could look like problem-solving, organizing thoughts and feelings, or sitting with the complexities of being human—whether that means exploring childhood wounds or laughing about your favorite TV show.
If you are looking for a therapist who values cultural humility, trauma-informed care, intersectionality, and social justice, I’d love to accompany your journey. Feel free to connect and book a consultation to start!
My Background
I was born and raised in Taiwan and later moved to New York to pursue higher education. From an early age, I’ve been deeply curious about people’s inner worlds and about the ways we connect, communicate, and influence one another. Over the years, I’ve navigated my challenges and supported others through theirs, which has shaped me into someone deeply empathetic, curious, and caring.
I’ve worked with a wide range of individuals and couples, each with their own unique story. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for what makes each person and relationship special, while also highlighting the threads we all share—the desire to feel accepted, authentic, and truly connected.
I’m passionate about exploring how our upbringing, culture, and the systems around us shape who we are and how we show up in our relationships. My journey of creating space to live authentically and with intention informs my work, especially with people who are juggling many roles or navigating complex relational dynamics.
I believe we all sit in the driver’s seat of our lives—or the shared driver’s seat of a relationship. But it’s hard to steer while reading the map, tending to passengers, and noticing the scenery. My role as a therapist is to sit beside you, pointing out what you might be too focused to see, offering perspective, and following your lead toward healing and growth. Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but the journey feels lighter when you don’t have to navigate it alone.
